The BRC Global Standard for Food Packaging certification is viewed as a benchmark of quality, safety and legality and has been recognised and adopted by retailers, manufacturers and packaging businesses worldwide.
Alexir Co-Packers (ACP), the contract packing division of the Alexir Partnership, are pleased to announce that their co-manufacturing facilities in Sussex have achieved an AA grade BRC (British Retail Consortium).
With this standard ACP can demonstrate that it is compliant with the latest version 7 of the standard for food safety, management systems, manufacturing and quality management practices.
Consequently, they are able to offer all their customers, and potential customers, all the necessary reassurances in respect of dried food co-manufacturing.

Not only have ACP set in motion some very exciting expansion plans, they have also added extensively to their automated, semi-automated and manual lines. These include high-speed flow wrapping, doy packing, blending, pot and sachet filling, labelling, sleeving and assortment packing of ambient, chilled and frozen food products. With full BRC and Organic accreditations they are now able to offer full contract manufacturing solutions in a total production site of 55,000ft². The recent revamp of the new facilities has included a conversion of a segregated nut production facility solely focused on processing products that contain nuts, including cereals and snacks. Their existing facilities provide nut-free, nut-trace and allergen-control packing services.
