We have been shortlisted for three awards in the UK Packaging Awards 2020:
ASDA’s Extra Special Board Tray – Cartonboard Pack of the Year
Made from board, a renewable resource, these new board trays contain 88% less plastic than ASDA’s previous trays, helping to save about 450 tonnes of plastic annually in ASDA alone and 1,000 tonnes in all the retailers where it is listed.
Freixenet Prosecco Handbag – Limited Edition
Created by the Alexir Partnership for Costco as a limited-edition Christmas gift for the 2019 Festive season, the carton engineering was key from the outset to protect the heavy and fragile Prosecco bottle.
Whittard Hot Chocolate Advent for Two – Limited Edition
This super-premium advent calendar contains 24 printed and ribboned drawers. The drawers were printed with different patterns to make the inside more eye-catching and enhance the overall aesthetic. Intricate gold foiling was used on the outside of the box and inside doors to enrich the calendars premium look and help the box stand out on the shelf.
We have been shortlisted in the following categories:
Virgin Atlantic Mile High Tea Carton – Best Use of Colour.
These bright pink boxes need o be of the highest quality, and be designed to reveal a delicate and subtle set of retro illustrations on the inside that scream ‘luxury’. Initially, our Digital department designed and manufactured these cartons with some 18,000 packs printed to trial on flights prior to launch. After gaining success, the cartons moved to being printed in our Litho Department.
Simply Cook Meal Kit – Solutions for Packaging.
The concept of the Simply Cook Meal Kit allows the consumer to create a restaurant quality meal at home with an easy to follow recipe and relevant spices. Working across all of our divisions, we were able to offer design, production of the packaging and also the packing.
Our ASDA’s Extra Special Board Tray has been shortlisted for the Public Vote
Our Skinpack stands out because:
It requires no glue making it more environmentally-friendly.
It is made from one piece of card which:
– Is better for the skinning process
– Makes it easier to remove the base film for recycling
– Results in minimal board wastage
There are no seams on the base making it easier for branding and mandatory information.
