Flower and White approached Alexir International to help them with the packaging for their re-brand of their Bars and Bites.
Flower and White had 2 key requirements for their Meringue Bites and Bars packaging – to improve print quality and to use a more durable material to minimise wastage on their production line. It was vital that the material remain recyclable and be able to run on their existing packing line. Additionally, Flower and White requested that the same material be used for both pouches and wrappers.
With these requirements in mind, Alexir International sourced a paper + PE film material which was stronger, fully recyclable and enabled a higher print quality. This material was used for both the pre-formed stand up pouches and wrappers which were printed using 5 print designs.
Furthermore, Alexir International sourced a recyclable corrugated SRP for the Meringue Bites.
Alexir International had a tight deadline as the relaunch was scheduled for the beginning of February 2021. This proved a challenge as the film material had a very long lead time, however, Alexir International were able to source it quickly to hit the launch date.
Additionally, as their Meringue Kisses use a different substrate, it was important that there was colour consistency across all the lines. Alexir International and Alexir Packaging worked directly with the design agency to help keep artwork consistent across substrates.
Since the launch, Flower and White have expressed that they were very happy with the packaging and have placed another film order for their Meringue Bars. The Partnership is also working with Flower and White on various other NPD projects.
Alexir are a pleasure to work with as they are organised, one step ahead, efficient and clear, as well as communicative on the detail. They are always looking for the best solution for customers which is refreshing.
