As the world begins to wake up, at Alexir we have had a flurry of publicity in the press and online. Here is a snapshot of posts from our social media platforms to keep you up-to-speed with all of our packaging projects.
Say hello to the newest members of the Skinpack family! The first new pack format includes a convenient hook on the top flap to enable the SKUs to be hung on a clip strip in-store.
The second pack format displays a wide flange on the left-hand side for clearer product information for the consumer. Both designs make merchandising more flexible and improve the ease of shop for the consumer.
The Skinpack board tray:
? is made from renewable virgin-fibre board
? is 100% recyclable according to the current OPRL guidelines
? reduces plastic by up to 90% when compared to its PET/PE counterpart
? is compatible with existing skinning machines
? helps maintain product freshness
? extends shelf life
? reduces food waste
Have you seen the latest innovation in Shelf Ready Packaging? Our procurement team, Alexir International have designed and delivered a corrugated SRP for Knorr Rice Noodle Cup, which has two landscape apertures on both sides of the pack.
The motive behind the new pack design stemmed from the brand owner’s brief to develop a visually appealing case that showcased the products within. As well as having a high-quality print finish, it also needed to ensure 100% product protection as they were bulk packed into sea containers for shipment from the UK to Canada.
Finally, the pots were packed by Alexir Co-Packing and placed into the cases for container loading.
Like many industries, the packaging industry has a history of gender imbalance. At Alexir we are shifting the balance and we can see a difference in our teams in all areas of the business.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Pro Carton interviewed Partnership Sales and Marketing Manager, Claire Summersby. Click on the video below to find out more about Claire’s journey into the packaging industry and her thoughts on how we can encourage more young females to join the industry.
